Golf's standard posture
Partager
Golf is an elegant and highly technical sport, and mastering the correct posture is essential to improving the effectiveness of your shots.
In the preparation posture, adjust the width of your feet according to the club and the distance of the shot, shoulder-width or slightly wider, toes slightly facing the target, soles of feet flat on the ground, upper body slightly leaning forward, back straight, head upright, eyes looking straight ahead, arms hanging naturally, knees slightly bent, and center of gravity between feet.
There are three common gripping postures: overlapping, with the right pinky finger inserted between the left index finger and middle finger, suitable for those who pursue precise control; interlocking, with the right pinky finger and the left index finger crossed, ideal for those who are strong and need strong control of the club; baseball, similar to holding a baseball bat, with the index finger on the club and the thumb on the other side, suitable for beginners and women, with a high level of comfort.
When aiming at the ball, the line connecting your shoulders, hips, knees, and feet should be parallel to the target line, the club face should be vertical, your chin should be tucked in, and your left arm left shoulder, and club shaft should be in a straight line, with your left shoulder slightly higher, about one fist's length.
During the swing, the body and arms coordinate in the backswing, the shoulder turns right about 90 degrees, the wrist and arm are 90 degrees, the hip joint turns back 45 degrees, the left knee moves slightly to the right, and the swing is made at a constant speed; the body initiates the downswing, the center of gravity moves to the left foot at the moment of contact with the ball, the knees are pushed forward, and the force is coordinated; after contact with the ball, the club is sent behind the ball to prevent premature wrist flipping; when finishing the swing, the center of gravity falls on the forefoot of the left foot, the right foot pushes the ground to the toes, the back is straight, and the finishing hand is above the left shoulder.
In short, to master the standard posture, you must practice and adjust it frequently. I hope all golfers enjoy the fun of golf.
